Back in late May, the White Sox were actually acting like they belonged in the big leagues! They pulled off a gritty 2-1 victory to end a torrid month, riding a five-game win streak that had the South Side smelling like champagne. Spencer Torkelson gave Detroit an early nudge with a double, but Colson Montgomery answered with a moonshot to right-center to tie it up. Then, in the 7th, Tristan Peters delivered a clutch single to send the Sox to a win. At the time, it looked like the White Sox were the real deal. Spoiler alert: It was just a fever dream!

Between Dingler's heroics and a series of defensive collapses by Chicago — including a throwing error by Braden Montgomery that actually helped Detroit — the Tigers cruised to a 4-1 victory. THE FATHER'S DAY HEARTBREAKERJune 21 (CHW 4, DET 5):
