After a John Peck sacrifice fly, Hao-Yu Lee absolutely ended the conversation, smashing a two-run triple to drive in Spencer Torkelson and Ben Malgeri. That seven-run explosion turned a competitive game into a Detroit blowout in the blink of an eye.

A much more controlled affair, but don't let the score fool you — the momentum swung on a dime. Colorado looked poised to steal something early when Ezequiel Tovar crossed the plate following a fielding error by Kevin McGonigle. But Detroit answered back immediately. Max Clark silenced the visitors with a solo home run to right field. The decisive shift, however, arrived in the sixth. Riley Greene ignited the crowd with a triple to left, and shortly after, Dillon Dingler sent a massive two-run home run into left field to stretch the lead. By the time Riley Greene ripped an RBI double in the eighth, the Rockies were chasing shadows. Zac Veen managed a late RBI single for Colorado in the ninth, but the damage was done. Detroit simply outmuscled them.
