STOP THE PRESSES! SOMEONE CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT! We just witnessed an absolute demolition derby! It started with Nick Gonzales and Oneil Cruz setting the pace, only for Rafael Devers to launch a massive three-run moonshot in the 2nd to put the Giants ahead! But then... oh, then came the Bottom of the 3rd. A nine-run explosion that felt like a supernova! Henry Davis and Spencer Horwitz both ripped multi-RBI singles, and Oneil Cruz kept adding fuel to the fire until the Pirates had a massive 11-9 lead! The Giants didn't go quietly; they stormed back with a five-run rally fueled by Drew Cavanaugh's double and Nate Furman's single to tie it at 12! But look at the drama! In the 9th, Brandon Lowe blasted a solo shot, and when Osleivis Basabe committed a throwing error on Rafael Flores Jr., the Pirates snatched victory from the jaws of defeat! Pure insanity!

Fast forward back to May, where these two were already playing at a fever pitch! This was a heavyweight bout that went deep into the night! Konnor Griffin and Oneil Cruz provided early fireworks for Pittsburgh, but Heliot Ramos and Matt Chapman turned the tide in the 6th with back-to-back doubles to keep San Francisco alive! The momentum swung violently in the 10th when Spencer Horwitz crushed a two-RBI double to put the Pirates ahead 6-4. We thought we saw the end, but no! Willy Adames delivered a clutch two-RBI single in the bottom of the 10th to force extra innings, and then Jesus Rodriguez ended the nightmare with a walk-off single in the 12th!
