The San Francisco 49ers responded with surgical precision. M.Jones began orchestrating a masterclass, finding C.McCaffrey for a short score to tie it, before immediately pivoting back to the air to find J.Jennings for an 11-yard touchdown. By the time E.Pineiro knocked through a 54-yard field goal to push the lead to 17-7, the momentum hadn't just shifted; it had been hijacked.

While the Giants tried to claw their way back with a lonely G.Gano field goal, the 49ers were playing chess while New York was playing checkers.
